ALIP is overseen by a council of organizations and individuals. However, Archway Community Services is considered the lead organization and therefore, is the host of this website.
The collection of personal information on our website
Our website has a number of places where people can provide personal information to either connect to our services or get involved.
Our forms are designed so that you only need to provide a minimum amount of personal information to complete your request or activity.
Our ALIP Newsletter form is opt-in and only requires an email address which is used to send the e-newsletter to you.
Further, our Contact Us form has additional security on it to ensure your information only goes to where it is supposed to and is only used for the purposes you have requested.
Our site uses cookies to track visits so that we know how many people are using our website and what types of information they are looking for. This tracking is anonymous and Archway cannot use these tools to identify you personally. However, our site is linked to Google Analytics, which can result in the collection and use of data by Google.

Definition of personal information
Personal information is defined as “information about an identifiable individual”. This is information like your name, phone number, address and email address as well as any other information that could be connected to you.
On our website, we have taken care to design our forms so that there is very little personal information required before you send it. However, all our forms need a minimum of your name and your email address.

Purposes for collection, use and disclosure of personal information
Many of our clients and our community supporters find it convenient to connect with us through our website. For that reason our website collects some personal information so that we can connect with you. However, we also welcome phone calls, or emails if you want to request services or receive more information about us.
Archway Community Services collects and uses information from our website for the delivery of services and to connect you to volunteer opportunities.
We only keep your personal information for as long as required by law.
Archway Community Services does not use or disclose personal information for any purpose other than for the reason it was collected or as required by law. When information could be used for a different purpose than was originally consented we will first obtain your consent unless we are required by law to release it.
Accuracy of information and our accountability
Archway Community Services is accountable for the personal information we collect. If we have made an error in the information we have collected from you, our Privacy Officer can help in correcting that information. Our Privacy Officer is the Director of Finance & Risk, Tina Poudrier-Beck. She is also responsible to advise the CEO on the agency’s compliance with this policy.

Disclosure of information to third parties
Archway Community Services does not give your information to any third parties unless it is required by law. If we are required to complete a third party request, we will use best practices to secure and transfer the data.
Archway Community Services does not sell, trade or rent information to third parties.
Safeguard
Archway Community Services website protects information with appropriate security safeguards. In the event that there is an involuntary breach of security (e.g. our website is hacked), the agency will endeavor to inform all those who provided Archway information through our website of any relevant personal information losses.
The agency’s Privacy Officer will be involved in investigating a breach and the incident will be reviewed.
Access
Individuals have the right to request access to their personal information unless there are exceptional circumstances. The Privacy Officer will assist with any access request.
